The basic primary network for urban city area of Banjaluka is approximately 151 km long. Together Banjaluka`s network and the water supply for Celinac, Laktasi and the well Subotica are approximately 181 km long. The total length, including the secondary and connecting network, is between 650 and 700 km. The reservoir space of Banjaluka`s water-supply system is 16050 m3, including five pumping stations.
There are 26.369 water gauges installed in the system. They are divided in the following way: 20.905 are for the individual consumers, 1.708 are for the residential areas, 3.756 are for the industry, handicrafts and institutions.
The city’s sewerage system dates from 1912. The present one is both mixed and separated type of the system. It possesses approximately 150 km of the main sewers.
