The action run under the motto "Water as our common good and concern" is only one of several actions initiated and organized by "Vodovod" a.d. Banja Luka since 2002. However, the actual involvement, which includes protection and cleaning of river banks and surrounding areas is rather distinct from the necessity to awake and reinforce the awareness of people that protection of natural resources, water in particular, is our most essential long-run responsibility. Throughout various forms and ideas we are making constant efforts to initiate, organize and financially support the mutual actions aimed at the protection of the river Vrbas. Children and young people, whose present existence as well as their future prospect are closely linked to the river Vrbas, have not only taken part in all actions performed so far, but also expressed their love for nature and environment through numerous literary and artistic works. We raise great hopes that the Ecology Branch functioning within the "Vodovod" a.d. Banja Luka and aided by the most recent legal regulations concerning this particular matter, will bring significant improvements in all aspects of ecology. 

Traditionally, many of the mentioned activities are undertaken on the world water day-march 22.

The year 2008, the hundredth anniversary of organized water-supply of the city, will be part of all activities the company is going to organize in behalf of this jubilee
